VALORpreneurs is a peer-support community for veterans, military families, and first responders building businesses, nonprofits, community projects, or exploring what's next after service. Participants connect, solve challenges, and support one another's growth.

Veterans, active-duty members transitioning to civilian life, National Guard, Reservists, military spouses, first responders, entrepreneurs, freelancers, nonprofit leaders, and anyone exploring a business or community project.

Nope. New and returning participants are welcome at every event. We’ll provide a brief recap and enough context for everyone to participate fully.

Participants come from many industries, including technology, trades, consulting, manufacturing, nonprofits, retail, outdoor recreation, and professional services. Whatever you're building, you'll likely find peers facing similar challenges.

No. We welcome veterans, military families, and first responders. While members share experiences of service, every gathering focuses on entrepreneurship, leadership, innovation, and building meaningful work.

Not in the traditional sense. VALORpreneurs is a peer-support community where participants build trusted relationships, solve business challenges, and learn from one another. Connections happen naturally, but the focus is making meaningful progress together.

Occasionally resources are shared, but VALORpreneurs is not a benefits or employment program. Our focus is entrepreneurship and innovation. We'll gladly connect participants with organizations better suited for benefits support.

Nadda. The Queer Business Owner Roundtable is free, but registration is required for each gathering. (So we can plan accordingly.)

If your plans change, please cancel your registration so we have an accurate count and can make the space available to someone else.

Any event-specific preparation will be included in the listing and reminder email. Some gatherings may ask you to bring a current business challenge, example, plan, or project. If no preparation is listed, simply come ready to participate, listen, and contribute.

A Google Meet link will be provided to registered participants through Eventbrite’s confirmation and reminder emails. Please do not publicly post or distribute the meeting link .

Locations may change depending on the topic, expected attendance, and needs of the work session. The specific venue, parking information, and accessibility details will be included in the individual event listing and sent to registered participants.

We want these gatherings to be accessible. Please contact Grove Community Incubator or Up North Pride if you need a particular accommodation or have questions about the virtual platform, physical venue, parking, seating, food, or other participation needs.

Absolutely. If you know a veteran, military family member, or first responder building something meaningful, we'd love to welcome them.

That's exactly why we're here. Many participants are still figuring out their next step. You don't need an established business to participate.

Military families share many of the same transitions, strengths, and experiences that shape entrepreneurship. Their perspectives are an important part of this community.

First responders develop leadership, resilience, teamwork, and adaptability that translate naturally into entrepreneurship, innovation, and community leadership.

Attend future gatherings, build relationships between meetings, share opportunities, invite others, and help shape future topics. The goal is a community that supports one another year-round.
