pitchmi- Northern Michigan
Founders across Michigan will compete for up to $1.25 million in investment through four regional pitch events leading to the statewide championship in April 2026. PitchMI goes beyond prize money, giving startups the visibility, connections, and momentum they need to grow and succeed in Michigan.
Pitch + Pine
A new kind of pitch competition—built for outdoor-minded innovators, not just polished presenters. We’re flipping the script on traditional stage-style competitions and inviting Michigan outdoor entrepreneurs to pitch their ideas through real conversations, hands-on demos, and community connection.

Celebrating Northern Michigan's Solidarity Economy
Calling all ethical businesses across Michigan! Come join us on Friday, Oct 11 in Traverse City, MI to celebrate our growing solidarity economy.
Seating is limited. Please RSVP, asap!
More and more "Up North" businesses are embracing interdependence, social justice, environmental stewardship, and a love of place over profit. We've got B Corps. We've got social enterprises. We've got industry leaders and ethical trend setters in abundance. Don't miss this great chance to connect, share best practices, and strengthen the bonds which unite us in purpose.
Agenda:
8:30AM - 10AM: Breakfast and Grounding | Group will convene at Commonplace for breakfast, community building and a presentation
10:30PM - 1:40PM: Northern Michigan Ethical Business Tour | Group will board busses/vans to visit approximately 4-5 B Corps and other ethical businesses in the region
2:30PM: Lunch | The last stop on the tour will include a lunch and some brief remarks to share reflections and action items
4PM - 4:30PM: Wrap up | Group will travel back to Commonplace and part ways from there.
